Bandwidth Setup Guide

Note: If you are using a newly added phone number or carrier account or have had messaging stop working unexpectedly, please make sure you have completed your carrier's 10DLC registration process before attempting to utilize Textable. 10DLC registration is required by ALL supported carriers due to the requirements set by the wireless carriers.

This guide assumes that you have signed up for a Textable account and are at the “Profile” page (located at https://textable.app/profile.)

  1. First, you should login to your console at https://dashboard.bandwidth.com/portal/report/#login:
  2. Once logged in, go to the Account Overview page.
    1. Copy your “Account ID” and paste it into the Account ID field on your Textable profile.
  3. You will now need to create a new application in your Bandwidth.com Dashboard.
    1. Name the application: Textable (You can name it whatever you’d like.)
    2. Click “Messaging” for Application Type.
    3. Enter the following in Callback URL: https://inbound.textable.app/receive?provider=bandwidth

Note: If you are a private label customer, please replace “https://inbound.textable.app” with your private label hostname (e.g. “https://privatelabel-txb.textable.app/receive?provider=bandwidth”). You should have received this value in your onboarding e-mail, but can also be requested by e-mailing support@textable.co.
    4. Click “Create Application”
    5. Once created, you should be able to see an Application ID. Copy and paste that into the Application ID field on your Textable profile.
    6. Please be sure to assign the number (or location) that you would like to use with Textable to the newly created application inside of Bandwidth.
    7. Once the number is assigned, be sure to enter that number in your Textable profile in the DID / VoIP Phone # field.
  4. You will now need to create a set of API Credentials. You can do so from the Application Details screen of the application that you just created in your Bandwidth Dashboard.
    1. Click + Create New button.
    2. Copy the API Token from the newly created token and paste it into your Textable profile API Token field.
    3. Copy the API Secret from the newly created token and paste it into your Textable profile API Secret field.
    4. Click Update Profile Details in Textable to save the entered data.
  5. You should now be able to send and receive with Textable.
