Skyetel Setup Guide

Note: If you are using a newly added phone number or carrier account or have had messaging stop working unexpectedly, please make sure you have completed your carrier's 10DLC registration process before attempting to utilize Textable. 10DLC registration is required by ALL supported carriers due to the requirements set by the wireless carriers. 

Configuring your Skyetel account with Textable is pretty simple and should only take a few minutes.

  1. First, you should login to your console at
  2. Once logged in, go to the Phone Numbers -> Local Phone Numbers page at
  3. Here, you will need to pick a number that you would like to use with Textable and click the Settings icon. 
  4. We must now configure the inbound webhooks for incoming messages. 
    1. Set the Forward option to Callback URL.
    2. Set URL to and set Method to POST. 

      Note: If you are a private label customer, please replace “” with your private label hostname (e.g. “”). You should have received this value in your onboarding e-mail, but can also be requested by e-mailing
    3. Click Save.
  5. Now, we need to grab your API credentials to setup in the Textable app. 
    1. Go to the Account Settings, to the right of your name on the top right menu. 
    2. Click the API Keys Tab
    3. Click the “Create” button to create a new API Key Set and give it a nickname. Copy the SID and Secret Key. 
    4. Click Save.
  6. Navigate to your Textable profile.
  7. Select “Skyetel” for the Provider field.
  8. Copy SID field to your Textable profile that you copied from your Skyetel account above. 
  9. Copy Secret to your Textable profile from your Skyetel account above.
  10. Click “Create Account” button. 

That’s it, you should be able to send and receive messages!
