Volt Setup Guide

Step 1: Generate your API Token in Volt

  1. Log into your Volt account at https://app.textvolt.com.

  2. Click your name (or profile icon) in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  3. Select Account Settings.

  4. Navigate to the Developers tab.

  5. Click Generate Token. This will create an access token that you will provide to Textable.

  6. Note: The token does not expire (unless you regenerate or revoke it). Important: Keep your token secure. Anyone with this token can perform API actions on your Volt account.

  7. Navigate to Messaging → Account Settings → Webhooks
  8. Click “Register Webhook” button.
  9. Enter https://inbound.textable.app/receive?provider=textvolt or if you are a white label partner, replace the domain with your white label domain. (e.g. https://${project_id}.textable.app/receive?provider=textvolt) Please confirm with support if you are unsure.
  10. Choose the Account to attach webhooks to.
  11. Click “Register Webhook” to save.

Step 2: Configure Textable with your Volt Token

  1. Log into your Textable dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Admin Menu → Manage Users.

  3. Create or edit a user and choose Volt as the provider.

  4. Paste the API token you generated in Volt into the “Access Token” field.

  5. Enter a phone number from your Volt account.

  6. Save your settings and send a test message to confirm setup.
